What you end up with
The deliverable is mytty-rec, a shell wrapper that records a log. It runs vim inside, always restores the terminal on exit and on SIGTERM, and logs the same bytes as macOS script. The PTY code lives in the mytty-pty crate, which later parts reuse.

Starting from a single orders CSV, you narrow down where sales are falling, working from the whole to the breakdown to one candidate. Using nothing but pandas aggregation, you finish with a one-page report holding a conclusion, its evidence, what the data cannot tell you, and one next step.
